Hi.

Looking at converting a new hp laptop with an internal sas, as well as an external usb/sata hard drive.

As far as I can tell, the process is:
create installable/bootable usb/flash with the ubuntu iso
use the usb drive to install ubuntu on the internal ssd
this somehow gets into the uefi/secure boot/password
--i've got no clue on this

once this happens,
then setup/partition the external sata 1TB drive and xfer processes/files as required

there will be the issue of mounting the drives, as well as modifying the fstab.

the idea being to have the external drives auto mount/connect when plugged in to the usb multiport device

any thoughts/comments/help would be appreciated.

thanks
