Welcome to the Fairbanks Open Radio Solidarity Network!

This group is for supporters, volunteers, members, and producers of Fairbanks Open Radio. Through occasional posts on this list, we will announce significant developments in our station's progress, solicit feedback on our function in the community, and share opportunities to support our grassroots efforts.

Thanks to your support for Fairbanks Open Radio's endeavor to bring independent radio to the airwaves around the Middle Tanana Valley, a decade of organizing efforts from dozens of community members culminated in the launch of our 100-watt broadcast on KWRK-LP 90.9 FM at the 2016 Winter Folk Fest, and we've been on the air ever since. We affiliated with Pacifica, the Channel Zero Network, and a variety of independent sources, and we produce a growing number of programs locally. In 2018, we began live streaming an online mirror of our FM broadcast.
