Announcement: Decision to build the official etcd-operator from scratch

Hello,

We evaluated several existing etcd-operators, none of the existing etcd-operators fully support all the top 10 features outlined in our roadmap. Some also include features that aren’t aligned with our priorities. To maintain a simple and focused official etcd-operator, we aim to avoid adding features that lack clear community demand.

That being said, there may still be valuable aspects from these implementations we can learn from. Therefore, while we’ve decided to start from scratch, we’re open to reusing parts of existing source code where appropriate during each feature implementation.

We also hope to have contributors participate in the upcoming version development and would like to express our gratitude in advance.
