Hi there!
The OpenStack community currently has a proposal to define a set of services which we would call a "starter kit" for using Kubernetes inside OpenStack.
I realize that perhaps not everyone might be intimately familiar with all the different components and services of OpenStack, but the list aims to gather services you need to be running in your OpenStack cloud to get the best Kubernetes experience, the review is up here:
I would like to ask if there are any Kubernetes steering committee members who would be interested in perhaps cooperating in a discussion where we could present the list of proposed services and hear feedback from the steering committee to the OpenStack technical committee.
Personally, I think it would be an awesome cross-community exercise together which can result in a really useful deliverable for those who are looking to run Kubernetes inside their OpenStack clouds, improving the experience in many ways. I also hope that it could be an interesting start of a few cross-community efforts we can look at in the future.
If there's a framework that you'd like us to work with (perhaps schedule time during one of your meetings?) or an ad-hoc meeting time (over IRC/Slack/Zoom/$conference_of_choice) that we can discuss this over, I'm happy to hear it.
Thanks!
