Hello, Kubernauts!
Reminder - KCS Logo and Contributor Award design submissions are due August 31st! Get those designs drafted and submitted!
We are looking for help from the contributor community to create 2 important designs - one for the Contributor Awards 2024 design, and one for the Kubernetes Contributor Summit NA 2024 logo!
Both designs are due by August 31st.
Kubernetes Contributor Summit NA 2024 Logo
Kubernetes Contributor Summit NA (KCSNA) 2024 will be held on Monday, November 11th at KubeCon North America in Salt Lake City, UT, USA. As usual, we invite the community to design a logo for the event.
Kubernetes Contributor Summits are events held by contributors, for contributors. They are usually held alongside KubeCon events, since much of the contributor community is often able to gather in-person at KubeCons.
The logo design will be used on t-shirts for contributors attending the event, and may also be used on comms and for other KCS-related purposes.
You can see past Kubernetes Contributor Summit logo designs here [1].
KCS attendance is not required to submit a logo design. You may submit as many designs as you like.
Logo submissions should follow these guidelines:
Vector (svg) format. Inkscape [2] is a free, open source tool that can be used to create vector graphics.
Use 3 colors (5 max). The cost of printing increases with each color added. The fewer colors you use, the more affordable it will be for the community to have swag produced.
The CNCF Code of Conduct [3] applies. Submissions that do not follow the code of conduct will not be considered.
No AI. AI-generated image content is not permitted in any form due to the likelihood of infringement. Do not use AI-generated imagery in any way in your design.
As far as themes go: Make sure it's Kubernetes-related! Often, the KCS logo reflects the location it is being held in, but incorporating location themes is not required.
The KCS Logo will be selected by the Summit Staff team via voting. If you have any questions, please reach out in the #summit-staff channel on Slack, or by tagging Kaslin Fields in the #krafternetes channel.
Submit your logo designs using this form [4]!
Contributor Awards 2024
Each year, the Kubernetes community recognizes contributors who have gone above and beyond in their work with the annual Contributor Awards. These awardees receive a physical award, usually in the form of a square canvas print featuring art designed by a contributor.
The Awards team would like to invite the community to submit designs for the 2024 Contributor Awards. The award design should center Kubernetes, and should include space for the text “Kubernetes Contributor Award 2024,” the awardee’s name, and a 1-2 sentence description of why the awardee won the award.
The Award design will be selected by the Awards team with input from the Summit Staff team. If you have any questions, please reach out in the #summit-staff channel on Slack, or by tagging Kaslin Fields in the #krafternetes channel.

Hello, Kubernauts!
We hope this email finds you well and excited for the upcoming Kubernetes Contributor Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah! 🎉 As we gear up for this event, we are looking for help from the contributor community to create 2 important designs - one for the Contributor Awards 2024 design, and one for the Kubernetes Contributor Summit NA 2024 logo!
We want to remind you that KCS Logo Design and Award Design submissions are due by August 31st. Less than a week remaining.
🎨 KCS Logo Design
The Kubernetes Contributor Summit (KCS) is an event by contributors, for contributors. Once again, we’re inviting the community to design the official logo for this year’s summit!
Why it’s important:
Your design could be featured on t-shirts worn by contributors attending the event and may also be used in communications and other KCS-related purposes.
Theme ideas:
The logo must be Kubernetes-related. While incorporating the event’s location theme (Salt Lake City, Utah) is common, it’s not a requirement—feel free to get creative!
Submission guidelines:
Vector (svg) Format: Inkscape [1] is a free, open source tool that can be used to create vector graphics.
Use 3 colors (5 max): The cost of printing increases with each color added. The fewer colors you use, the more affordable it will be for the community to have swag produced.
The CNCF Code of Conduct [2] applies: Submissions that do not follow the code of conduct will not be considered.
No AI: AI-generated image content is not permitted in any form due to the likelihood of infringement. Do not use AI-generated imagery in any way in your design.
KCS attendance is not required to submit a logo design. You may submit as many designs as you like.
You can see past Kubernetes Contributor Summit logo designs here [3].
Selection process:
The KCS Logo will be chosen by the Summit Staff team via voting.
