We have lost someone close to us in the community. Cody Crudgington passed away yesterday in his home.

Details are scant at the moment. But, we will provide any information Cody's family feels comfortable sharing with us so the community can remember Cody in a meaningful way. Cody was an incredible asset to the Kubernetes Community as he frequently spent time giving back to the community in very tangible and personal ways. His commitment to our community will not be forgotten.

I'm passing this over from Contributor Comms:

Cody’s family has put together a page with information on the upcoming celebration of his life. The page also has space for donations to help with expenses: https://everloved.com/life-of/cody-crudgington/

The CNCF Memorial Page is also on GitHub: https://github.com/cncf/memorials/blob/main/cody-crudgington.md

From me:

Folks,

If you need to talk and feel you don't have anyone, I'm here.
