Happy New Year! 🎉 (Hopefully, it’s not too late in January to still say that...)
I’m excited to kick off the first Kubernetes release of 2025—v1.33[0]. My name is Nina Polshakova and I’ll be serving as your fearless Release Lead for this cycle.
The release cycle officially began this week on Monday, January 13th, and we’re targeting Wednesday, April 23rd for the final release cut. Below are the key milestones for the 1.33 release[1]:
Joining me on this exciting journey as Release Lead Shadows are:
The
v1.33 Release Team has been established[2] and we're privileged to have an
amazing group of subteam leads[3]:
And, of course, we’re grateful to have Angelos Kolaitis as our Emeritus Adviser for this release!
This release cycle will have one major change to the release team structure- the Docs and Release Notes subteams have been combined under a single "Docs" subteam. We expect this to result in a cleaner and more transparent process for both the release team and the community.
Starting next week, we’ll share more detailed communications about the release, so stay tuned!
Please don't hesitate to ping us on #sig-release[4] if you have any comments, concerns, or questions.
Thank you!
Nina Polshakova
