Hi Kubernetes folks,

My name is Nick Young, and I’d like to nominate Natali Vlatko for the
2025 Kubernetes Steering Committee election.

I think she’d be a great addition to the committee. She has been
helpful to me as a maintainer in her capacity as SIG Docs co-chair,
being incredibly knowledgeable on project-wide policy that affects
Gateway API, which I help maintain, amongst others areas. Her work in
other parts of the project such as SIG Auth, the Release Team
Subproject, and SIG Contribex is also outstanding, and especially in
her latest role as one of the Program Chairs of the 2025 editions of
the CNCF Maintainer Summit in EU and upcoming in NA. I was happy to
serve under her guidance as a member of the Program Committee for the
NA Summit. I happen to know that she was hand-picked by CNCF staff to
take on this role and to help shape it for the future of CNCF projects
and beyond.

Natali is the type of leader that is always looking to level up
others. I admire that she is continually trying to find and mentor
folks who want to find their place in the project and contribute in a
way that's maintainable and sustainable. I like that she emphasises
work-life balance. She doesn’t wear many hats, and I think that’s a
benefit: she’s chosen to focus on docs and CNCF-wide collaboration and
has excelled in both. She and I were supported by many folks across
Kubernetes and across our employers to run for the CNCF TOC as well,
given her expertise and the trust others have in her ability to lead
authentically, always with the best outcome for the projects she’s
involved with in mind. Her voice represents sustainability, long-term
vision, and support for others, and I think the Steering Committee
would benefit from her leadership.

If you are an eligible voter interested in endorsing Natali, you can
do so by replying to the nomination issue at
https://github.com/kubernetes/community/issues/8586 saying: "I endorse
this nominee, and I work for " or "+1". Please state that you are an
eligible voter and include your employer's name so that Election
Officers can recognize qualified endorsements.

Cheers,
Nick
