Kubernetes v1.34 Sneak Peak

Hello Kubernetes Community!

We hope that you enjoyed v1.33 'Octarine'[0] as the first release of the year. Now, it's time to start the process for the second release of the year[1].

The release cycle will start next week on Monday, May 19th, and we're targeting Wednesday, August 27th for the final release cut. The major milestones for the v1.34 release[2] are as follows:

• Release Cycle begins: Monday, May 19th, 2025
• Enhancements Freeze: 02:00 UTC Friday, June 20th, 2025 / 19:00 PST Thursday, June 19th, 2025
• Code Freeze: 02:00 UTC Friday, July 25th, 2025 / 19:00 PDT Thursday, July 24th, 2025
• Release Day: Wednesday, August 27th, 2025

My name is Vyom Yadav, and I'll be the release lead for v1.34. I'm glad to be accompanied by Daniel Chan, Ryota Sawada, Wendy Ha, and Sreeram Venkitesh.
With us, we also have the amazing sub-team leads:
