Greetings from the canopy 🌳 dear Kubernetes Community,
I’m delighted to share that Kubernetes v1.35.0, Timbernetes: The World Tree Release, has shipped and is now available!
The full story can be found in the
announcement blog article [0] with your release highlights and the complete details in the
release notes [1].Packages for v1.35.0 are available via the
GitHub Release page [2]. Debian and RPM packages are also available through the corresponding package managers. For the full availability details, please refer to the
Branch Managers’ announcement [3].With this release now out in the wild, the v1.35 code freeze has been lifted, and kubernetes/kubernetes is thawed. The path is open again, and new growth can continue. Please note that we are still working currently on thawing the kubernetes/website repo ASAP. 😊
Thank you to everyone who helped tend this cycle’s World Tree. In particular, I’d like to recognize our
Release Team [4] along with every lead, shadow, reviewer, and contributor who carried Kubernetes v1.35.0 across the finish line. I'm so proud of y'all for such a great job this cycle, and there are such exciting new features to show for it!
I’d also like to thank the SIG Release leadership, and all SIG Leads and Chairs, for the steady guidance, collaboration and support throughout the cycle. A special thanks to SIG Architecture, namely the PRR subproject for the collaboration around implementing the new PRR Freeze, and to all contributors succeeding with this new change.
On a personal note:
I’ve been serving the Kubernetes Release Team since v1.27, and it has been my honor, pride and pleasure to work with such a resilient community. I dedicate the Timbernetes logo in celebration of all of you-- the magical wizards, rogues, and warriors of the Kubernetes project-- delivering one of the biggest OSS and software infrastructure projects in the world.
Thank you greatly, and congratulations to all on this milestone. This release is the culmination of your hard work, care, and craft.
Yours truly,
Drew Hagen
