"I've been involved in Kubernetes ecosystem since 2016, including building the original Helm project with my friends at Deis. I have represented Microsoft as an open source contributor and leader in CNCF since joining the company in 2017.

I'm currently SIG Chair of SIG Autoscaling, and have served during a period of purposeful diversification and expansion, integrating AWS's karpenter effort as a SIG-sponsored, CNCF-governed project, and supporting the rapid expansion of node autoscaler provider communities across both Cluster Autoscaler and karpenter.

I evaluate project health based on community-driven outputs, and healthy maintainer succession and turnover. Prioritizing community-led wins yields a key incentive that makes open source economics work for contributors and the companies that sponsor them. Incentiving for project stakeholder expansion is also critical, and community investments will accelerate if there is a knowable trajectory towards co-ownership.

I'm passionate about testing, and have standardized many projects onto prow, and have contributed to critical Scalability testing for DRA and large cluster testing.

My steadfast north star is a company- and vendor-neutral Kubernetes as the standard platform layer for modern infrastructure."
