Hello Kube Community,

Kubernetes 1.25 code freeze is now in effect.

At this point we will only consider release blocking issues and PRs into the v1.25 milestone.

The Release Team [0] reviewed all enhancements that opted-in for the v1.25 release. For enhancements that did not meet the criteria for Code Freeze [1], the Release Team removed them from the v1.25 milestone. You can check the status of enhancements in the tracking sheet [2]. If you think your enhancement is critical and must ship in v1.25, please file an exception [3] as soon as possible.

Upcoming deadlines [4]:

  • Open placeholder PRs for docs: Thursday 4th August

  • Docs PRs ready for review: Tuesday 9th August

  • Test Freeze: 18:00 PDT Tuesday 9th August

  • Feature blogs ready to review: Tuesday 16th August

  • Docs complete: Tuesday 16th August

  • Release Notes Complete: 18:00 PDT Thursday 18th August

Please reach out to us in Slack in the #sig-release [5] channel if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Cici Huang
