Dear Contributors,

## Voter Exceptions due October 22nd (Wednesday)

There are only 7 days left to submit Voter Exception requests for the steering election.

If you have contributed to Kubernetes in the last year but haven’t met the eligibility requirements, you will need to submit an exception request to vote in the steering election.

To check your eligibility:

- log into Elekto [1]

- Elekto will inform you if you need an exception

For further information about exception requests, see Voter exception [2] in the 2025 Election Readme.

## Ballots due October 24th.

There are only 10-ish days left to submit your ballot!

Please don’t leave casting your vote to the last minute.

All it takes to cast your vote to go to https://elections.k8s.io [1] and follow the prompts to vote! It takes only a few minutes!

Log in now and familiarize yourself with the candidates and the ballot.

How do I vote?

Log in to the election site using your GitHub account, and click “explore elections” to find the Steering Committee election. The election page will display the list of candidates, along with information on your current eligibility to vote.

On the main election page, you can review the candidate bios by clicking on the candidate names.

From the list, rank the candidates in order of preference. Please do your best to rank all candidates and not just a few favorites. However, if you simply can’t decide about a candidate, you may select “No Opinion”.

All voting activity occurs through the Elections site. You will NOT receive an individual email of any kind.

Thank you from all your election officers. If you have any questions,

You can reach us via elec...@k8s.io or message us on Slack any time.
