Hi kube-friends,
The GitHub Admin team is currently in the process of migrating our Kubernetes GitHub orgs under an umbrella GitHub enterprise account. Doing this will allow us to have more fine grained and uniform control over our GitHub orgs, especially from a security perspective.
In order to perform the transition in a phased manner, we plan to migrate all GitHub orgs
except kubernetes and
kubernetes-sigs over this weekend (3rd Aug and 4th Aug). That involves the following contributor-facing orgs:
Once these are migrated, we give a week's worth of soak time and then migrate kubernetes-sigs and kubernetes. The etcd-io org has been running under our enterprise account since the creation of SIG-etcd. While the repos in that org use only a subset of the automation used by repos like k/k, we have not seen any disruption due to bringing it under the enterprise account.
That said, while we do not expect any disruptions in this process, in case you do notice things not working as they should be, please reach out to us on the #github-management channel on the Kubernetes slack.
Best,
Madhav, on behalf of the GitHub Admin Team
