Hello kubefolx,
We encountered some unexpected issues while backporting Go 1.20.7 to our active release branches in advance of the August patch releases that were scheduled for today. We are almost done with that work, but we didn't finish in time to cut the releases today (9th August 2023).
We have decided to delay cutting these patches until 23rd August 2023. We arrived on this date due to the upcoming 1.28.0 dates: Tomorrow (10th August 2023) is [1] the scheduled 1.28.0-rc.1 release, and next week (15th August 2023) iis the planned 1.28.0 release date. This will give us time to finish the backporting and ensure that things look good before cutting the patch releases and will allow us to focus on getting the 1.28.0 release out without the complications of also releasing the patch releases during the final stages of doing the 1.28.0 release.
We apologize for the delay!
Thank you,
Jeremy Rickard // on behalf of SIG Release
