Hi everyone,
I'm self-nominating for the 2026 Kubernetes Steering Committee election.
I’ve been part of the Kubernetes community since before 1.0 in 2015. In the early days, I focused on building out the core Workloads API (Deployment, ReplicaSet, StatefulSet, DaemonSet, etc.), designing rollout behavior, unifying controller mechanics, and bringing them from early concepts to GA.
Since then, I served as KubeCon Co-Chair (2018-2019) and have led SIG Apps as Co-Chair and TL since 2019. Alongside ongoing maintenance of the core Workloads API, I'm currently driving new subprojects for agentic workloads (like the Agent Sandbox). I also lead the AI Conformance program in SIG Architecture, which I demoed during keynotes at KubeCon NA 2025 and KubeCon EU 2026. In 2025, I was honored to receive the CNCF Chop Wood Carry Water Award.
Over the last decade, I've seen Kubernetes grow from an early prototype into the foundation of modern infrastructure. I'm running for Steering to help keep the project healthy as we navigate new technical shifts like AI: enabling cross-SIG initiatives, streamlining community processes, and supporting the maintainers who keep everything running.
