Running KC on Oracle 18?

Hi all,

 

Has anyone tried running KC on Oracle 18 yet? Our DBAs are starting to ask about upgrading us from 12c to 18, but I’m unsure if it will cause any problems or not.

 

The official word from Kuali is that they haven’t formally tested it, so I’m curious if anyone else has tried it out. If not, we’ll probably be doing some testing within the next month or two and I’ll share what we find.

Hi Chris,

I would like to add our perspective on this. Here at the University of Illinois, we are running KC 1801 with Oracle 11g. For the past 6 months or so, we are doing our due diligence on 12c before we actually upgrade. DBAs have brought up Oracle 18 in our conversations, but at this point, we will just upgrade KC to use 12c and perhaps just run a performance test against Oracle 18 just to see if KC works fine with Oracle 18. But we won't run KC with Oracle 18 in production anytime soon.
