kuali/kc source problem

Hello,

I got the latest updates from kuali/kc repository and tried to do a clean & compile on the code and got the following maven error.  It looks like some resources aren’t in the public repository yet.

We are no longer publishing binaries for dependent kuali projects.  The projects and project locations required to build are documented in the readme file in the root of the project.

Why aren’t we publishing Kuali’s own jars into their own repo?  Seems like it just adds complexity to getting KC going.

Due to our commitment to more frequent releases we are trying to reduce the overhead in executing those releases.

It seems to me this "overhead" is minimal and also validates that the repo which was deployed builds correctly.

Not to mention the KC project needs to push the deps somewhere in order to consume them.  Why push them to a private repo instead of one the community can use?  There is no time savings in pushing to a private repo.

It looks to me like the kuali/kc-api does not have the correct pom.xml version.

 

Version from kc-api/pom.xml

<artifactId>coeus-api</artifactId>

    <version>6.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version>

 

Version from kc/pom.xml

<coeus-api-all.version>6.0.0.1</coeus-api-all.version>

                Will this version mismatch be fixed or are we supposed to fix these issues in our local repo's ?

please execute the following command and attach the results:

mvn dependency:tree

This will show where this rice version is coming from.  My best guess is it is coming in as a transitive dependency from another library but it's hard to say without the results of dependency plugin.

Please attach the entire output not just a screenshot.  On a bash terminal you would do this like mvn dependency:tree > output.txt
