Dear Comp542 Students,

Our next programming assignment is due April 21st. Originally I was thinking of adding 1-2 more assignments exploring transformers. However I think it would be more beneficial if you decide your own final assignment and explore a topic that you are interested in. This could be replicating a recent work, contributing to the TDD project, or implementing an original idea. Please think about this and discuss potential project topics with TA Ali Safaya next week. Ali and I will get together and make final decisions on Friday April 22.

Dear Comp542 Students,

I hope you had a great spring break.

I just wanted to remind everyone to make an appointment and talk to Ali about your semester projects this week. 

Tomorrow we will continue with the "Advanced Search" lecture, followed by "Adversarial Methods" on Thursday. I think all students volunteered to lead at least once, some twice. If you haven't done two lectures please consider leading one of the discussions this week.

The next programming project is also due this Thursday.

Thanks so much for the reminder.

Also, as in the previous assignment, can we have a chance to make the deadline on a Sunday night?

I would be very grateful if you could do it as the deadlines for many projects overlap during the spring break period.
