Dear Faculty Members,
This semester, the End-of-Semester Course Evaluation tab on KU Mobil or the website (https://registrar.ku.edu.tr/en/announcement/online-end-of-semester-course-evaluations-are-now-available-via-koc-universitesi-mobil/)
will be active from April 26th to May 30th.
Student feedback is a valuable source of information for instructors who wish to improve their courses. While students are not in the position to comment as experts on the course content, their feedback on the lectures, seminar discussions, and readings can
help instructors recognize how they may be able to offer further clarification or support.
Ideally, all courses and instructors will receive evaluations. However, it is recommended that students give their responses for individual courses at separate times, rather than completing evaluations for all their courses in one sitting.
For this reason, we kindly ask that all instructors take the following steps:

Please allocate at least ten minutes of one class to the online evaluation.

Please take a moment to tell students that the evaluation is important and explain how their feedback can be useful to you as a professional.

Please read the following information to the students:
This survey will be used to maintain the evaluation and improvement of our academic programs.The instructor cannot see the results until the final grades for the course have been submitted and processed.
Student response in no way affects student grades.
In the mobile application, students will click on the tab labeled “End-of-Semester Course and Instructor Evaluation,” which will bring up a list of their registered courses. Once the student
completes an evaluation for any given course, that course will become inactive on their list. However, they will still be able to access the evaluations they have not yet completed.
Students will be notified of the new procedure and instructed to go through the following steps:

Download the “Koç Üniversitesi Mobil” application.

Select “End-of-Semester Evaluation.”

View the list of courses for which you are registered for Spring 2021.

Choose the course you will evaluate first.

Do not forget to submit your responses.
On a final note, we have a draw for students in order to increase the participation rate in the evaluations. All students will automatically be entered into a prize draw
to win one iPad (128 GB + Wifi) and 100 D&R gift cards, each worth 100TL. Participants will be included for the draw based on the number of course evaluations completed. For example, if a student is enrolled in 5 courses and fills out all five evaluation forms,
the student will be entered in the draw five times but can be awarded up to one prize.
