Hello all, I'm sorry to be sending this message out on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend but wanted to bring attention to this matter. Andres, our great building services manager, reached out regarding a dog poop problem. Please see below and appreciate you all keeping this in mind as well as helping to spread the word to your neighbors to also be mindful in picking up and properly disposing of any poop from their dogs if on school grounds.
Wishing a happy Mother's Day to all the moms on this liserserv!
Steve
Good morning Steve, I just wanted to reach out about a community problem with the field at KP. Most mornings and especially weekends the community uses the field as a dog park. In the past, there
was lots of dog poop just all over the field or some people would even pick them up and just leave them in baggies next to the tractor shed or next to the building. Ms. Ross and I got together, we ordered some trash cans for the outside grounds to try to fix
the problem. However, there are still plenty of owners that are not picking up their dog poop and allowing their dogs to get Into the gated playground to dig up the mulch. I was hoping the PTA could possibly help us get some signs out here that state that this is not a dog park and owners need to pick up after their dogs and also to not allow their dogs in the gated playground. In the past we also had some doggy bags (for poop) inside a container on the batting cages but I am not sure what happened to them.
At least 3 day of the week building services is outside picking up dog poop or helping clean off a student's shoes that stepped in poop during recess. Thank you and the rest of the PTA for your support and everything you do.
