Morning all,
The KP chapter of Girls on the Run (GOTR) is seeking a new head coach for this spring. It is a great program helping to empower young women in the 3rd - 5th grade at our school. Beyond the clear fitness benefits, each practice session teaches vital life skills such as perseverance, problem solving and collaboration with others. Our daughter Emma, who is in 5th, has been a part of this team since 3rd grade. It has been led by the energetic Coach Carmen (Cc'd here) and other volunteers over the last few years. KP GOTR is now looking for a new coach in order to continue running at KP. If you are interested or may know someone interested then please let us know. Here are the details provided by GOTR and you can also email Carmen if you have any additional questions. Slide 10 includes key responsibilities for the head coach and the commitment form needs to be submitted by Monday, January 26. In terms of time commitment you'd be looking at two practice sessions per week starting in March and the 5K race on Sunday, May 17. The practices have been on Wednesdays 4pm - 5:30pm and on Fridays 8am until school starts, but it can be adjusted based on this person's availability.
Please let us know if you're interested in being a part of this great experience. These girls are counting on you!
Thank you for your consideration, it is very much appreciated!
Best,
Steve
