Join Schools Beyond Screens–MCPS
This growing coalition of more than 1200 MCPS families and teachers is advocating to protect the classroom environment for learning. Through weekly emails and calls to action, you can stay informed about developments at the county and state levels, including Chromebook use, artificial intelligence in schools, cell phone policies, and other student technology issues, and find opportunities to raise your concerns.

Attend an in-person gathering on August 13
Schools Beyond Screens–MCPS is hosting a community gathering at the Rockville Memorial Library on August 13 from 6:00–8:00 p.m.
SBS leadership will share resources to help families better understand technology use and oversight in MCPS. There will also be a discussion of Screen Schooled: Two Veteran Teachers Expose How Technology Overuse Is Making Our Kids Dumber. Reading the book is not required to attend—all are welcome!
