Incoming 6th grade NBMS families, 

I am sharing the below from the middle school PTA as I don’t think everyone is on the listserv yet. 

Hello and hope everyone is having a terrific summer. Hard to believe, but we’ll all be headed back to school in a little more than a month, and the North Bethesda PTSA is looking forward to welcoming our new students and families with our annual picnic. Mark your calendars for the event, and please sign up to volunteer if you’re able! We’re so excited for you to join the NBMS community. 

Welcome Picnic
When: Friday, August 21, 2026, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

What: Welcome Picnic for all 6th grade families and any newly enrolled 7th and 8th grade students.

Why: Students and parents/caregivers from all three feeder elementary schools can meet and connect as you begin your middle school journey at NBMS!

What to expect: Enjoy pizza, (with a few gluten free pies for those who need them), snow cones (one per student), and tunes from a local DJ. 

What to bring: Water bottles, as well as any blankets or chairs.
