Excuse the second email. I’m sending a dedicated email on behalf of KP.

The leftover dog poop has become/remained enough of an issue that I’ve been asked by the school to bring it up with PRA and KECA as an ongoing issue that dog poop and poop bags are being left behind.

While dogs are welcome guests on school grounds after hours and on weekends, it’s important to remember that students use these same areas every day at recess. I love that the neighborhood uses the field as a dog park on the weekends but first and foremost it is a school.

Please take a moment to:

  • Pick up after your dog every time.

  • Use the poop bag station outside KP or bring your own.

  • Dispose of bags in the trash cans at the trail entrances — please don’t leave filled bags on the ground.

We’re considering adding a few friendly reminder signs, but in the meantime, a little care from all of us will go a long way in keeping the space clean and safe for the kids.

  • Remind your dog walker to follow the above rules
