Jim Caldwell died on September 21.
Jim, and his wife, Sue, were involved with people with disabilities for quite a long time, a pioneer in many ways.
I primarily knew him through our many 1st Wednesday TechLunches at Brick Oven, where he always provided experience, ideas and insight. But he was much more, e.g., a founding Board Member at Knowbility, longtime Commissioner on TCB, Chair of the TGCPD, with even longer-time involvement with the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Center. He received various awards and recognition for his dedicated work.
I have missed Jim's, and Sue's, presence at the TechLunches, since their and our schedules bifurcated. I know many of you will miss him much more, due to your longer term interactions with him. As a relative Caldwell novice, I learned so much about him from his obituary, which appeared in Sunday's paper and on the Statesman/Legacy websites:
Note that there will be a celebration of Jim's life on Sunday, October 20, which is mentioned at the end of this tribute.
