Hi everyone!

It was so lovely meeting all of you last week (and seeing some familiar faces) and I just wanted to send over an update on this year's Accessible Internet Rally.

There are some big changes this year! AIR is no longer a local event; we've got teams from across the US and around the globe who will be connecting and competing virtually. To facilitate this expansion and allow teams to create more robust sites (including accessible content management systems) we've also expanded the time frame for creating the sites from one day to an entire month, much like AIR Interactive. The kick-off event will be October 17th, and teams have from then until November 17th to design and create their sites.

Another way we're connecting to distant teams is changing our training structure from all face-to-face to mostly virtual. With the help of Hiram Kuykendall (from MicroAssist) we've put together an amazing set of accessible eLearning that covers everything from basic accessibility to captioning to accessible web forms and beyond. This way teams can access training on demand, no matter their location or time zone. It's a fantastic resource!

Registration is up now at http://www.knowbility.org/air and does not close until October 1st. I'd love it if you all could help to spread the word!

Please let me know if there's anything at all I can do for you. Thanks so much!
