I installed this version Wednesday after having been away from PCB design for a few months.  The system is

Ubuntu Mate
Release 22.04.1 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) 64-bit
Kernel Linux 5.15.0-56-generic x86_64
MATE 1.26.0

It is locking up hard enough that I have to do a kill -9 to clear it out.

Multiple lockups while trying to create my custom library.  It locks both during the creation and upon the first attempt to import a part.

It also locks in the schematic editor.  I managed to enter a very simple schematic but only after several kills and restart.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the package once.  No difference.

Is there any more diagnostic info I can supply?

Hi John-

Report bugs to the issue tracker.  Use Help->Report a Bug for this.

You can run KiCad in a debugger

```
gdb /usr/bin/kicad
```

Then, when it locks up, press Ctrl-C in the debugger and type `bt all` to show the current state of all your threads.  Include these data in your bug report and we can maybe get more information for you.
