Before starting any work, please read the KiCag Getting Started document and all relevant contribution documents. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. We just released an AI policy but I cannot find it on the website so I will have to figure out what's going on. If you are going to us an LLM, please follow this document. We have issues tagged as "starter" for new contributors to try to get their head around the KiCad code base. If you have any questions or are unsure of anything, please ask. It's better to get feedback up front from the lead dev team than to do a lot of work only to have it rejected because it's not part of the project plan. The best path to success is to start small and work your way up to larger tasks. Thank you for your interest in contributing to KiCad.
