Virginia Eilene Teller

October 3, 1945 – February 8, 2026

 

Virginia Eilene Teller, born on October 3, 1945, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 80. She was a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia. She was the proud granddaughter of Olive B. Poythress founder of the South Norfolk Christian Church. Virginia was in the final graduting class 1964 of Oscar F. Smith High School in South Norfolk before it moved to Chesapeake.

 

She loved traveling with her husband, Ray enjoying many trips to Cancun over the years. She was the love of his life for 55 years.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Raymond Teller Jr.; children, Gregg Teller and his wife Debbie, Glenn Teller, Sherri Hale and her husband Jay and Dawn Simmons and her husband John; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; and 1 great grandson on the way. She is also survived by her step-sister, Jennifer Degraw. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delman Poythress and Virginia Rivers Poythress.

 

To honor Virginia's wishes there will be no services.
