On behalf of the Virginia Glory – Knapp, 14u softball team, and the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, I want to thank all of you and express to you our sincere gratitude for your participation in our event.  It has certainly been an honor and a priveldge to have your support.  I know it is not easy giving up a Saturday away from your businesses and families, but I hope each of you enjoyed some type of success throughout the day.  Because of you, the team was able to raise well over $5000.00 to help off-set the tremendous expenses associated with travel softball.
 
A special thank you to our new neighbors, the Kena Shriner’s for your participation on such short notice; it was a pleasure to speak with you and get to know your organization.  I hope we were able to shed some light on what it means to be a Shiner and the work you do for our community.
 
I tried to talk with as many of you as I could as the day went on; I received a lot of positive feedback, but I also know that certain areas could have been managed and handled much better.  I want to hear from all of you; the good, and the not so good!  This was our first shot at this type of event, so there is definitely room for improvement.  I told many of you the this story, but in years past, we have held flea markets as fundraisers; after five years of hosting, we ended with raising close to $15,000.00 when it was all said and done.  This year without the storage facility, we needed to try something different.  Serving the community we call home is very important, not only to our business but as a life lesson to these young ladies. We all need to understand what worked, what didn’t work, and how we can showcase your talents thru teamwork and service above self.

I left out two crucial details!!  The applications we asked you to complete state set-up is at 8:30; anybody that needs to, or would like to come earlier, the building will be open to you after 7:45.
 
The Kena Shriner’s  who have recently become our neighbors, have graciously offered there parking as well for our customers.  I will have staff on the lots to help control parking throughout the day.

First and Foremost, thank you so very much for your willingness to participate in our Vendor Fair!  This is an exciting time for our team, our business, and the community we are all serving.  Without your generosity and support, an event like this would not be possible.  To those of you that are not able to attend, but have so kindly donated money, raffle items, or simply your time, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Your contributions to our team and community have not gone unnoticed.
 
This email is to follow-up on a few items that need to be addressed prior to Saturday. 
 
As a reminder, we are asking that each vendor bring their own table, no larger than 6 feet in length.  I have spoken to a few of the participants that do need us to provide them with a table; we will have extras on hand just in case something happens and you are not able to provide one.
 
There will be a guest Wi-Fi for all to use; the password is Funeralhome (capital F and all one word)  I also have a secure network that will be available on a case by case scenario.
 
Upon arrival, we ask that each vendor check-in thru the entrance on the route 28 side of the building (under the Carport).  At that point, our parents and team will help each and every one of you unload your vehicle and show you to your space.  We have been given permission to use the Manassas Church of the Brethren parking lot @ 10047 Nokesville Road – (this is approximately ¼ of mile south of the funeral home)  This is where our parents, and all vendor parking will be.  We can park your car for you, or if you prefer to park yourself, we will have two vehicles running shuttle service to and from the parking lot.
 
Please feel free to sell your crafts, services, and / or anything you have to offer; this is not only about celebrating these young ladies accomplishments, but promoting your business and the services you have to offer.  We want each of you to be able to use this as stepping stone to grow and extend your footprints!
 
Last but not least, we will have a fantastic grand prize give-away; compliments of The Motorcycle Factory in Woodbridge, we will be selling chances to win a Honda Rancher 4 x 4.  There are only 500 attempts to be sold, so I am asking all of you for one more favor; please pass the word about this event and share the flyer attached to this email. Let the community know where you will be!!!!
