I have not since 2 weeks received an RSS ' update'. Running my script to find appropriate links for a given website, nothing be returned. I presently have not a graphical environment, so other than copying out the link after selling it out I have many other options. Can You please reintroduce the RSS links?

Thank you for letting me know that it is not working for you.

I am hoping that this information corrects the situation, but if it does not let me know and I will look into it further.

Cheers, bob

Not J as such,  but my excuse is that this arises from this week's
ArrayCast.

I looked up SAC and am now wondering how to download it for Windows.
I've got as far as installing ubuntu Linux using WSL (Windows subsystem
for Linux),
and can easily start a unix screen running.  I used to know unix quite
well,  though
not as an owner,  and I don't know how to set about downloading files
such as (say)
https://gitlab.sac-home.org/.../Ubl22-x86_64/2.0.0-85-1/basic/sac2c-2.0.0-Tintigny-85-g7dcc5-omnibus.deb
,
nor where to put them and how to initialise them.
I see the default package manager for ubuntu is apt,   but a tip or two
on how to apply it - the man page
is formidable! - or on whether to employ an alternative manager.

Thanks for any insight,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I only have experience with apt in Ubuntu/debian, but not with WSL. Apt is normally used to install packages (and keep up to date) from repositories.
If you have a downloaded .deb archive, you should use dpkg -i <yourpackage>.deb to install it.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
Jan-Pieter

Hi Mike,

I don't have any advice on the install, but Bodo certainly indicated that he was interested in helping anyone that was curious about the project.
His contact information is in the Show Notes for the episode.

Cheers, bob

Thank You, Bob. The sole difference was the presence of 'www'. The website could have been reregistered without the w3 prefix.
