J9.7 runs in a browser, using either of two interfaces (J HTTP Server
and Juno).  Both of these interfaces support the Dissect tool.  Now a
new user can sample J in detail without having to install it, and can
use Dissect to steepen the learning curve.

YouTube videos seem to be the world's preferred teaching medium.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a set of videos that a user could go
through, using video to go by with Dissect as backup to poke around in a
result?

Adam Brudzewsky of Dyalog APL pointed out that Dyalog has a great many
such demos on small programming challenges.  J users could pick from
those topics and build up our own library of J gems.

A good example of such an activity is New York City J Users Group. For
the past 20 years, NYCJUG has held monthly meetings that begin with the
"Beginner's Regatta" before moving on to more advanced topics:

I think joining NYCJUG's remote meetings, which are not recorded, taking
part in open discussions, and learning J together with others is also a
great way to improve skills.
