On download J9.7 to my old MSWindows m/c, I no longer receive the 3 J icons, only  the blue one.
Also this happens:
Connection failed: curl: (35) schannel: next InitializeSecurityContext failed: Unknown error (0x80092012) - The revocation function was unable to check revocation for the certificate.

Any advice? Please.

re: curl failure and only getting blue icon:

After any install (aio or zip) you need to run the following lines in jconsole:

  load 'pacman'
   'install' jpkg '*'
   exit 0

This should create the 3 icons. There were some problems with icons in different versions of windows and perhap this is hitting you. Or the curl trouble.

You could try the install again to see if you can get past the curl problem.

You can run the jconsole and jqt manually from a command window and then create you own icons as a workaround.

Can you install the up to date web/gethttp addon? The curl.exe there should work.

 No, this happens:
    load 'web/gethttp'
not found: c:/program files/j9.7/addons/web/gethttp/gethttp.ijs
|file name error in script, executing monad 0!:0
|nonexistent file or invalid filename
|       0!:0 y_:
Press ENTER to inspect

dbr 0 to end inspection; use y___1 to look inside top stack frame (see code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Debug/Stack#irefs)

By 'install the up-to-date addon' he meant using Package Manager to Update.  Did you try that?
