We now have 9.7 beta AIOs for Linux and macOS, see
https://www.jsoftware.com/download/j9.7/install. These include the
base system plus Jqt IDE.
To test, unzip and open a terminal in the install directory.
In Linux, run jqt.sh to start Jqt.
In macOS, run ./macos-fix.command. This will clear all of the download
attributes and allow you to open the jqt app. Note that the macos-fix
command needs to be run before attempting to open jqt, or removal of
the extended attributes within the app will fail.
Afterwards run ./updateje.sh if needed.
Thanks to Norman Drinkwater for building these AIOs.
