Hi All

I will do some maintenance work on the wiki in a few hours, around
10am UTC March 10. This will take around 2-3 hours, during which the
wiki will be read only. I'll email the forum just before starting.

Hi Chris - just so you know, I made a little change to the Foreigns page to put a dark line down the center of the table to make it easier to figure out which column you're on when you scroll down:
https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Vocabulary/Foreigns.  It would be nice to have a little finer distinction, like a dashed line down every other column, but it was tedious enough to put in the dark line so it's probably not worth the bother unless you have an easy way to do that.

Thanks for all your work on this.

Regards,

Devon

Hi Devon

The change to Foreigns looks good to me, thanks!

The wiki maintenance is being done now. The wiki is set to read only
and the J logo is red.

The wiki maintenance is finished and you can edit the wiki again. It
has the latest mediawiki LTS version 1.43. It is on a new IP address
so you may need to refresh your browser.

Some obsolete or inappropriate material has been deleted. If you see
deletions that you think should have been retained, please let me know
rather than try to restore them, thanks.

The old wiki will be available at oldcode.jsoftware.com for a few
weeks. Note that many links in that wiki are https links that will
take you to the new wiki.

the Getting Started page on the Main Page page should not be removed imo
or at least remove its dead link too

Thanks, fixed now.

BTW, you don't need to copy the forum. I will get these messages.

The wiki maintenance changed about 3500 of the 4500 or so pages, and
removed another 200. I am not surprised there are problems with links.
The RottenLinks idea is good, thanks.

Hi Chris,

Below the "Get Started" button on the principle column, A "Download" button should appear that takes a user directly to the System/Installation page (Download-> https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/System/Installation).

It is not as direct or clear as it should be to download J.

Thanks for the suggestion. I used Installation rather than Download
since it points to the System/Installation page, and set it as the
first item in the menu. The System/Installation page itself has been
simplified.

Awesome,  I'm glad it was of some help.
