Thank you for the update!

I was just working on a personal addon on github, and tried to install it in the new JAndroid Beta 16 on my Samsung Android 14 phone, but it failed. It did work on both my laptop, and on j9.5 on the same Android device.

The message I got was:

   install'github:jpjacobs/general_qcj'

Connecton failed: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jpjacobs/general_qcj/master/manifest.ijs:  command not found

This last error is repeated more or less verbatim, and 0 is returned at the end.

I can reproduce the problem on android-10. I suspect this is an github https issue and will investigate when I have more time.

That should be a bug in J9.6 beta 3 and later.

It should be already fixed in beta 17.
