A week ago I posted a question asking for an implicit J solution to
construct the list 0, (i.2^0), (i.2^1), ... ,(i.2^k) for k =1,2,3,...
Shortly afterwards my computer crashed and only yesterday did I get it
back with a new hard-drive.
I am overwhelmed by the number of beautiful solutions I received. The
genius of the design of J are the wonderful resources built into the
primitives. Thank you to everyone who responded.
