Dearest database enthusiasts,
Peter Alvaro and Kyle Kingsbury are delighted to present the latest
Jepsen report, on MySQL 8.0.34. We reproduce Kleppmann's findings and
show new and exciting behaviors, including monotonicity violations. We
also show that AWS RDS MySQL clusters do not provide serializability,
thanks to an unsafe choice of default settings.
