to ISSOTL Open Discussion

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) is pleased to partner with McMaster University and Mohawk College to host STLHESAPES2026, taking place June 16–19, 2026, at the Hamilton Convention Centre. Pre-conference workshops will be held on June 16.

We invite you to begin preparing your proposals to share your work, insights, and innovations in teaching and learning in higher education. The submission portal will open in the coming weeks, and we encourage prospective presenters to review the guidelines in advance.

Proposals are welcome from faculty, educational developers, instructional designers, administrators, contingent faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and individuals or groups traditionally underrepresented in academia. STLHE membership is not required to submit.

Submission Highlights:

  • Presentations may be delivered in English, French, Indigenous languages, or multilingual formats.

  • Authors may submit up to two conference proposals and one pre-conference workshop.

  • A variety of formats are available, including interactive workshops, oral presentations, posters, roundtables, and half-day pre-conference workshops.

  • The 2026 call introduces new options, including the opportunity to indicate interest in presenting your session a second time during the 2026/27 academic year.

The STLHE Equity Committee continues to support accessibility and inclusion throughout the planning process. Please review STLHE’s Statement on Accessibility and Inclusion for more information.

Learn more about submitting a proposal on the STLHESAPES2026 CFP page

We look forward to your submissions and to welcoming you to Hamilton in June 2026!
