Hi all,

I'd like to invite you to a one-off virtual workshop on Friday, March 27th called Analog Inspiration: The ExpansionBuilding on the original Analog Inspiration card deck, The Expansion is an educational development tool that offers new activities and ideas for discussing AI's impact on human values, skills, and concerns in the classroom. In this launch workshop, we'll explore these impacts together through a few interactive activities, quiet reflections, and guided discussions. I'll unveil some new cards ("deep thinking," "excitement," "integrity," "truth," and "vulnerability" among them) and share ideas for facilitating with the deck. Through our conversations, my hope is that we'll leave with a few practical approaches we can try in our various contexts.

CLICK TO REGISTER (3/27, 12-1 PM Mountain Standard Time (US))

I also want to set expectations: while most of the workshop will be in a primary Zoom meeting, we will use breakout rooms briefly toward the beginning of the workshop to meet a few new colleagues and share a teaching and learning value that is meaningful to you :)

best,
Carter

Hi folks,

Just wanted to announce I've released an expansion set for this card deck project called Analog Inspiration: The Expansion. It features 36 brand new cards to help foster meaningful discussion around generative AI. Each card pairs a human concept, value, or skill with practical ideas for integrating AI in ways that center that concept in the classroom. New cards range from "integrity" to "patience," "autonomy," "sustainability," "problem identification," "compassion," "empathy," and more. The cards work solo for brainstorming or (ideally) with peers and students for deeper conversations about what we're trying to preserve and cultivate in our learning environments. I've also put all of the new activities and thought exercises in this free Google SheetMore info at http://analoginspiration.ai

Best,
Carter
