Hi all, first thanks for the many interests in this group. We had a lot of new people joining.

I notice a few people are not up to speed on when we meet and other then in the meeting minutes, we could be clearer to the group to avoid confusion. Sorry about that. So here it is:
Even though the webex is booked weekly, the group decided to meet monthly on the second Friday (11-12 noon ET) on the month. So we met on Dec 14, Jan 11, and the Feb meeting was cancelled as it is very close to the Kona meeting.

The March meeting would be on March 8, and then there would be DST changes which always mess up meetings so we are not booked beyond that.

I usually book from DST to DST in 2 cycles (April-Nov, and Dec-Mar)

The current time is also not ideal for everyone and don't expect it to improve moving forward as we have global participants. This almost always mean that we meet within +/- 2 hours of  Noon Eastern Time, as that spans West cost US (-3) and Europe (+ 5 or 6) . It leaves out Asia/Australia but we have to compromise somewhere.

If people would like to try a different times, then the DST change is the time to propose it. I am gong to put out a new doodle poll but I think this is a thread for people to propose new meeting times, especially as we add more new members.

So the time is basically a  choice of
10am -2 pm ET on any days of the week of Monday to Friday.

Another decision is to try to aim for 2 hour time slot as we are only meeting once a month and I get the feeling we need more time.

Hi all I tried to create a new doodle poll to see if we can come to a different meeting proposal for the next DST cycle:

I can't tell if the time zones are correct from Doodle as I had a hard time changing it, but I had meant to make sure all the options are between 10 am ET and ending at 3 pm ET. I modulated based on times that  If this looks different in your time zone, please adjust and assume for that.

In the SG19 F2F meeting later this week, I will also socialize this as well. Thanks.

I am interested in the meetings in March. I am happy to discuss the tree and graph proposals, as well as any other matter.

For the next cycle meeting doodle poll, I checked on our Friday SG19 F2F Kona meeting here and found that the doodle view is still confusing due to the time zone that may appear on your poll. So I want to list the actual times proposed here to make sure there is no confusion:

All times are in Eastern Daylight Time (after the DST change)
Mondays: 11-12
Tuesdays: 11-12, 12-1, 1-2, 2-3
Wednesdays: 10-11, 11-12
Thursdays: 12-1, 1-2,2-3
Fridays: 1-2, 2-3

So just to be clear the first call for this cycle will be the week of April 8, ending in November 3rd.

To ensure that everything is clear, can we please indicate the dates, times and phone/contact/charges information of the next/future meetings of this group? Does the first teleconference take place March 8?

Hi Richard and everyone, thanks for noting this.

Given that March 8 is likely the last conference we have for the last DST cycle, and then we will be changing it based on the ongoing Doodle poll for the April-Nov cycle, I like to propose the following:

1. Cancel March 8 as it would be the last meeting at the time to not confuse people with a single meeting in that slot and afterwards we will change meeting time. We will be changing DST on different continents immediately afterwards.

So We will postpone the Graph discussion into the first meeting of the following cycle.

2. The next meeting would be the 2nd week of April based on the doodle poll:
-the current top choice is Thursdays 1-2 and 1-3 Eastern (daylight) time with various (9) people able to join in those 2 hours. I would propose we book 2 hours since these are back to back 1-3 pm ET.

As such, if people are OK with this. Then our next proposed meeting will be the following, all are 1-3 Eastern Time:
April 11 1-3 ET: Graph design
The meetings after that will be:
May 9
Jun 13
Jul 11 - cancelled? C++ Standard Meeting Cologne
Aug 8
Sep 12
Oct 10
Nov 14 - cancelled due to DST change and switching to a new cycle.

I understand different people may only be able to join in the second hour. But this gives us 2 hour for our discussion and we will not be time bound as we have been in the last few meetings.

I hope this is OK and if so, I will book the next set of telecons.

Thanks for participating in the poll.
