A 2-year postdoc linked to the Nordic Sound and Music Computing University
Hub (NordicSMC) is open at the Technical Faculty of IT and Design,
Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology, Aalborg
University, Copenhagen campus:

The postdoc project will be interdisciplinary, and focus on the use of
music as a form of augmented feedback for rehabilitation: For instance the
design of evolving generative musical stimuli (e.g. using existing physical
models for sound synthesis) to serve as augmented feedback in training
settings.

Applicants should hold competences within one or more research areas
relevant to augmented music feedback. These areas include musicology;
machine learning: physical sound models; sonic interaction design; virtual
and augmented reality; haptic and/or augmented feedback. A PhD degree
within Sound and Music or equivalent would be an advantage. The appointed
candidate will be expected to divide their time into approximate 75%
research and 25% teaching activities. Teaching duties will include course
teaching and/or project supervision in the fields for machine learning for
media technology and programming in the Medialogy (B.Sc. and M.Sc) and/or
Sound and Music Computing (M.Sc) programs.

   -  A PhD in Sound and Music Computing, computer science, systematic
musicology, signal processing, human movement science, or similarly related
fields that offer a solid foundation for further research into the area of
augmented musical feedback for rehabilitation.

    - Personal suitability and motivation for the position.
