We invite applications to a two-week Computational Biology workshop in Bangkok, June 15-28. The workshop (https://compbioasia.net) will introduce ~35 graduate students to a range of topics from genomics through molecular modeling to molecular dynamics, all through the lens of protein function, and with an eye to modern computational methods (especially AI and simulation).

The workshop will split time between a diverse series of lectures and hands-on small-group project work. Participants are expected to have graduate-level research experience in at least one of the streams – genomics, computational structural biology, molecular dynamics, or artificial intelligence – and an interest in learning the other streams. Workshop attendance also requires comfort with the UNIX command-line interface and some proficiency in at least one programming language.

Activities are organized by professors from the University of Montana and the University of Arizona, in collaboration with Kasetsart University in Thailand, and the International Science, Technology, and International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation (ISTIC) of UNESCO. Lecturers and project mentors hail from the USA, Europe, and Asia.

We are currently accepting applications through April 6, 2025. All basic costs are covered for US citizens, nationals, and permanent residents.

We invite applications to a two-week Computational Biology workshop in Singapore, June 14-27. The workshop (https://compbioasia.net) will introduce ~16 graduate students from the USA and a similar number of graduate students and researchers from other countries to a range of topics from genomics through molecular modeling to molecular dynamics, all through the lens of protein function, and with an eye to modern computational methods (especially AI and simulation).

Activities are organized by professors from the University of Montana and the University of Arizona, in collaboration with the National University of Singapore and the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore. Lecturers and project mentors hail from the USA, Europe, and Asia.

We are currently accepting applications through March 21, 2026. All basic costs (including travel) are covered for US citizens, nationals, and permanent residents.
