Dear all,

We have three openings for Assistant Professor (adiunkt) positions at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Wrocław Tech), Poland. Candidates with proven achievements in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Medical Informatics are welcome to apply, provided that they received their doctoral degree no earlier than 2020 (with possible extensions), or have submitted their dissertation and will receive the degree at least 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the contract.

Our department conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of bioinformatics, AI, and applied data science. We develop computational methods to address complex problems in molecular biology and personalized medicine. Our research includes modeling protein structures, interactions, and aggregation phenomena (including amyloidogenesis); drug repurposing and the design of amyloid peptides for molecular circuitry; analysis of complex genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets in human and animal health as well as fungal immunity; advancement of AI methods for oncological digital pathology under limited-annotation constraints; and integration of hospital clinical scales with mobile applications to support personalized medicine in clinical practice.
