Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the deadline for submissions to the Call for Papers for the Special Session onSemantic Knowledge Representation and Reasoning in Biomedicine has been extended.

🗓 September 2–4, 2026


All accepted short papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit extended versions either to the Springer Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNBI) proceedings or to high-impact journals across the areas represented at CIBB.

We invite short paper submissions (4–6 pages) on topics including, but not limited to:
• Biomedical and clinical knowledge graph construction and curation
• Knowledge graph embeddings and representation learning for drug discovery and precision medicine
• Ontologies, vocabularies, and standards for healthcare and life sciences
• Semantic integration and interoperability of heterogeneous biomedical data
• Knowledge graphs for disease modelling and clinical pathways
• Reasoning, inference, and rule-based methods over biomedical knowledge graphs
• Temporal, longitudinal, and evolving knowledge graphs in healthcare
• Linking omics data, clinical data, and external biomedical knowledge sources
• Provenance, uncertainty, and trust in biomedical knowledge representation
• Knowledge graph–based decision support and explainable systems
• FAIR data principles, linked data, and Semantic Web infrastructures for biomedicine
