Assalamu Alaykum,

We are seeking a compassionate female home aide for our elderly mother in Hyattsville, MD.

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Part-time / Contract caregiver position

  • Compensation: tbd based on experience and qualifications

  • References: Professional or personal caregiving references preferred

  • Background Check: Must be willing to complete a background check

Schedule (Trial Period):

  • Wednesdays & Fridays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Optional weekends (Saturday or Sunday): 4-hour daytime or evening shift (scheduled 2 weeks in advance)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Female caregiver

  • Speaks Urdu/Punjabi and English preferred

  • Experience (or willingness) working with elderly individuals, including hearing difficulties, slow speech, and mild dementia

  • Able to provide companionship, conversation, and accompany short walks

  • Assist with heating/serving meals and medication or supplement reminders if needed

About the Client:

  • 86-year-old female

  • Mild dementia and short-term memory issues

  • Mildly active, walks with a cane, mobile with stairs

  • Enjoys simple games and puzzles

  • Currently on hospice care and prefers comfort-focused support
