It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Syed Akbar Sadiq.

“Truly, we are from Allah, and to Him we shall return”

It is with great sadness we share the passing of Br. Syed Akbar Sadiq. Brother Sadiq is survived by his wife Shaheen Sadiq, son Salman Sadiq, daughters Seme Khan and Sophia Sadiq, and five grandchildren. Salatul Janazah will take place at 1:30pm on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at Dar Al Taqwa (DAT) (10740 Route 108, Ellicott City, MD 21042) followed immediately by burial at Columbia Memorial Park Cemetery (Dar Al Taqwa Islamic Garden section) located at 12005 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029. Please keep Br. Sadiq and the family in your duas!

“O Allah, pardon our living and our dead, and our present and our absent, and our young and our old, and our men and women, O Allah, whom you keep alive amongst us, keep them alive upon Islam and whom you cause to die, let them die upon Faith.” (Tirmidhi, Vol 1, Page 121).

We ask Allah (SWT) to shower him with His mercy, compassion and forgiveness, grant him the highest ranks in paradise and give his family support and patience during this difficult time.

The Janazah prayer will be at Dar Al Taqwa at 1:30 PM on Mar 11, 2026, followed by burial at Columbia Memorial Park Cemetery.

O Allah forgive our living and our dead, those who are with us and those who are absent, our young and our old, our menfolk and our womenfolk. O Allah, whomever you give life from among us give him life in Islam, and whomever you take way from us take him away in Faith. O Allah, do not forbid us their reward and do not send us astray after them.
