PyCPT 2.3 has been released, with the following improvements:
  • The notebook now includes instructions for (optionally) getting predictand data from a local file instead of downloading it from the Data Library. To find these instructions, search for local_predictand_file within the notebook.
  • An option to change the color scheme used for maps is provided. Search for color_bar within the notebook.
  • Latitude and longitude tick marks are displayed on all maps.
  • The installation instructions have been changed. The new installation procedure specifies a particular version of every required library, whereas the old procedure used whatever version of each library happened to be the most recent at the time of installation. The old process was prone to failures caused by events that were out of our control, namely third-party developers releasing non-backwards compatible versions of their libraries.
