Be mindful that this is in the city and arrival by car can be tricky, we suggest using public transport.

Dear all,

We are glad to see we are currently at 67 registrations!

For tomorrow, public transport is highly recommended as there is no parking foreseen. The closest train station is Brussels-Central. From there you can take the metro lines 1 or 5 to get to Schuman, close to the Google offices.

If you are planning to attend please don't forget to register on the meetup page, and please specify your full name as it will be required for the registration at Google.

Thank you and see you tomorrow!
Carl & Pieter

All,

Seems at least 2 people got killed this evening in Brussels around 7h15PM.
2 Swedish football supporters got shot by some person(s) with links to IS, hence security level in Bxl got set to 4 (highest risk), rest of Belgium 3.  Advice is to not move to Brussels unless really needed.

As much as we'd like to keep the council meeting taking place tomorrow, I believe it makes not much sense to do so as we, as organizers, have the responsibility to the people joining , to do this in a safe way.
We will check tomorrow morning again with Google, on how they feel, but looks like it will be cancelled.  Of course, a new date will be set if this happens.
Confirmation / update will follow tomorrow morning.

tx and regs
Carl & Pieter
